A quiet bed and breakfast on the shores of lake Bracciano between Anguillara Sabazia and Trevignano Romano, 35 km north of Rome.

B&B Le Vele is a self contained apartment set in a peaceful garden a few yards from the lake. It is ideal for either long or short holidays and families with children. It lies in the grounds of Le Vele sailing club which has a large private beach with sunbeds.

The apartment sleeps up to six and consists of two double and one single bedroom, a kitchen with fireplace, a bathroom with shower and a spacious sitting room.

Services include television, washing machine, central heating and cleaning. Bed linen, towels and bathrobes are changed once a week. It is also possible to hire bicycles.

The apartment has an independent entrance. The sitting room and one of the bedrooms give onto a large veranda where breakfast can be served. All this is set in a delightful small garden lovingly cared for by the owners of the sailing club, Andreina and Maurizio who are ably assisted by their dynamic young daughter Claudia.

The B&B is a few minutes drive from both Anguillara Sabazia and Trevignano Romano. It can also be easily reached by bus from Rome (the Acquarella stop on the Cotral line Roma - Anguillara - Trevignano - Manziana).

How to get there:

From Rome, the motorways and Leonardo da Vinci and Ciampino airports:
  • Rome ring road (Grande Raccordo Anulare G.R.A.)
  • Exit no. 5 Via Cassia Veientana (ss. 2 bis) to Viterbo
  • After 35 km, turning for Trevignano Romano
  • Before reaching the village, turn to the left towards Anguillara (b&b Le Vele is signed at the crossing)
  • Take the second road to the right (via Mincio)
